Systems Engineer

Randstad is currently working with a sovereign defence manufacturer of high-tech defence systems that is integrated onto various defence platforms operating in mission critical environments. They are looking for an experienced systems engineer to work on a project to support the Australian Defence force to enhance their surveillance, air battlespace management and air defence systems.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Adelaide.

About the Role

• Conduct major engineering assignments in collaboration with other members of the project engineering team.
• Perform requirement analysis and design and implement engineering solutions to meet the regulatory requirements and customers' needs.
• Conduct verification and validation and prepare verification plans and procedures.
• Conduct and manage system testing activities, as well as identify system requirements and manage configuration.

About you

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Computer science, Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related discipline).
• Extensive V&V experience with mission-critical systems.
• Proficient in hardware and/or software installation and configuration.
• Experience with Voice Communications Systems, Radios, Telephony (VoIP, analog or digital).
• Experience with working on all phases of System Development Life Cycle.
• Experience working with complex defence projects (desirable).

The candidate must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain a security clearance or have a NV1 or Baseline Security Clearance.
